The best and worst feelings

So I haven't touched my blog in quite awhile. Here I am trying to make up for my lack of commitment.

One of the best things happened recently. I went over to my friends house and her mom told me the funniest thing. She had been on the computer trying to find a picture of the Stockholm Sweden Temple and most of the pictures were linked to blogs. So she read through some of them. Then she came across a blog that was about that temple and how the person's best friends parents were married there. She thought how funny it would be if it was about them. She read some of the other posts and figured out that it was my blog! She was like "It was about us!". It made me happy!

Here's something else that happened that day.. I am almost ashamed of this... I watched "Breaking Dawn"...In theater. It was horrible.
Let me tell you how this came about. It was at the same time that I went to my friends house. She wanted to go the movie that night, but no one wanted to go with her. I, being the nice person I am, decided to volunteer. I told her I would go, that is if my mom let me. I wasn't really expecting my mom to let me go so it was kinda weird when she did. Next thing I know I'm sitting in a theater mini barfing in my mouth. That movie was very...Yikes. But I don't regret at all that I saw it. Now I am able to poke fun at it all I want. No one can tell me that I have no right making fun of twlight because I've never seen any of the movies. Since this is no longer the case I am able to go on my merry-twilight-hating way.

So all in all that was a very fulfilling night.

hello old friend

It's been forever and a day since I last saw this blog. Obviously you haven't missed my bad grammar and lame blog posts but now a few things have changed and a feel like I should at least try and tell you about them.

I am proud to now be a cosmo girl! for the past year I have been learning how to tease, tweeze, snip, dye, massage, paint, clip, and the list goes on.

I am attending TCCC (Tri-County Career Center) and loving it. I have met of lot of great people there. I have been very fortunate to have gotten very nice and awesome teachers.

I would show you pictures but it won't let me and really what is the chance that you're actually going to see this post.

I feel like my blog has become a box in the corner of your minds attic that's collecting dust. But that's okay because I don't blame you.

fun fun fun!

Last weekend was the best and worst start of fall!

Friday, I woke up with a little itchy throat and sniffles but that was not going to stop me from having some fun that night! I went to Valley's football game. One of my best friends (Lydia) brother's scout troop does parking and cleanup, and in return they get in the game for free. isn't that great?
anywho, so I went and helped out and got in for free! And what did I do for almost the whole game? Watch the game? Try and pick up cute guys? NOOOOOO! I played hacky sack with the boy scouts and Lydia or more like they attempted to teach me and I attempted to learn. was it worth it? Most definitely yes! I still can't really play, but I now don't jump away from the ball screaming every time it comes at me. :D
And being a football game it went on forever! I didn't get home until...I don't even know I was too tired to look at a clock, but it was late. The itchy throat had turned into barely being able to talk, but being like Suki I enjoyed every second of it, making weird noises with my new found voice.

Saturday, I still couldn't talk. I got yelled at a lot that day for talking too uch. I sounded funny how could I not talk? But there was no time for being sick I had things to do before the weekend was over. That night I went to Devine Frams for a stake activity. It. Was. So. Much. Fun.
there was a corn maze, hay rides and a dance!
The corn maze was fun but muddy and it was pretty cold outside, the hay ride was kinda boring....But the dance was so much fun! they had it in a barn, it was kinda nice to be able to dance without getting sweaty. And dancing with my friends...and Lindey, just being crazy!
And there was donuts! aahhh donuts....they were ssoooo good. A night I will remember forever!

Sunday, went to church with a stuffy nose...not very fun. That night I got a slight fever but it was gone the next day.

Now I'm still sick but not as much.

I want to know how our bodies could hold so much snot?...Scratch that. I would rather be in the dark than know the real reason behind snot.

Temple of the week!!!

Today's temple is the...wait for it...Stockholm Sweden Temple!!! Yay!

I picked this one because my best friend's parents were married there (well at least I hope it's the right one).
It was announcement the 1 April 1981, the groundbreaking and site dedication was 17 March 1984 by Thomas S. Monson, the public open house was the 10-22 June 1985, and the dedication was done the 2–4 July 1985 by Gordon B. Hinckley.
Here are some cool facts about this temple:
The Stockholm Sweden Temple was the first temple built in Scandinavia.
Swedish architect John Sjöström was selected to design the Stockholm Sweden Temple. He went to great lengths to harmonize the temple with local architecture.
In preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Stockholm Sweden Temple, a torch was used to through the ice so that the earth could be turned. It froze again overnight, and the ice had to be cleared a second time.
On August 23, 1995, Swedish eyes turned to the Stockholm Sweden Temple where President Thomas S. Monson assisted in welcoming Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia to the grounds of the temple for their annual "Eriksgata" excursion. A plaque on the temple grounds memorializes the occasion.

Robert Pattison/Edward= Yuck *barf*.(in my world)

First I would like to apologize to all those ladies out there who think that Robert Pattinson is a "heart-throb". This post will not speak well of your "heart-throb".

Robert, after playing Edward Cullen in Twilight, has slipped his way in many girls' hearts, mine not included. How he did this is beyond me. I have heard it many a time that a girl will say, when talking about the future, that they can't wait until they meet their Edwards. You can picture it, looking up to the heavens as they say it with their hand on their heart and sighing afterwords....Yuck! I have to fight the urge of asking why they want a stalker as a husband, let alone know one at all!

Yes, I know Edward has some wonderful qualities....

Wait, no....

Actually, someone needs to tell me what they are. I have not the slightest clue.

I am proud to say I have never watched the Twilight movie or read the series all the way, and some people would say that I can't judge what I have not seen, but I have read and seen all the Twilight I can manage. The book might have been written well but the story sucked, and no one can ever convince me that Twilight was a good movie...Ever.

And as my sister now injects, the story was not well written at all. Sloppy, with the overdone tone of a romance novel, it is not for the fans of 'real' fiction. Better stick to Robin McKinley, folks.

And be real he is not hotter than Ben Barnes.

It almost killed me to put his picture in this post.
Robert Pattinson might be a great, nice guy, but in no way is he hot...

I could go on but I won't. Things to do.
I will end with this video. I have never watched Buffy or have ever been tempted, but this video was brilliant.

Temples of the week!

This week because I forgot last week, I will do two, keeping everyone happy.

The Portland temple is the one my sister Suki was married and sealed in to her hubby Jared.
The garden inside is really pretty! thats where I spent most of my time waiting for them to get out.
Announcement: 7 April 1984
Groundbreaking and Site Dedication: 20 September 1986 by Gordon B. Hinckley
Public Open House: 15 June–8 July 1989
Dedication: 19–21 August 1989 by Gordon B. Hinckley

The Oakland temple is the one my parents were married and sealed in.
Last year when we went to California our Dad took us there. We took lots of pictures, but I think we all had the biggest kick out of the fact you have a really nice view of Alcatraz.
Announcement: 26 May 1962
Groundbreaking and Site Dedication: 26 May 1962 by David O. McKay
Public Open House: 5–31 October 1964
Dedication: 17–19 November 1964 by David O. McKay

Temple marriage is something I look forward to when I get older (much older). I know it's something I should strive for.

oh, on the happy note of marriage, I forgot to mention last time, that the Columbus temple is where Valerie and Jamie were married.

TTFN! ta ta for now!!!!!

Temple of the week

My sister does this product of the week thing, and I decided I liked it so I came up with this.

There is currently 129 temples operational, 9 under construction, and 8 announced. isn't that awesome?!?!?!?!
The Columbus Ohio temple will be the first one to be highlighted because Its the one I go to! Even though it's small it's still a house of the Lord. I have only seen a little of the inside, but what I have seen is really pretty!
Today in Young Womens we talked about how our body is a temple and that we should take care of it.

"Know ye not thet ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God holy, which temple ye are."
1 Corinthains 3:16-17

I feel like I should say more, but I'll save it for the next temple.^^
